- Abstract
- 본 연구에서는 한국인을 대상으로 체면 손상과 사회적 낙인, 전문적 도움 추구 태도 간의 관계에서 상담에서의 자기 노출에 대한 위험 기대와 유용성 기대의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국에 거주하는 만 19세 이상 일반 성인 282명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 구조방정식 매개모형을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 먼저, 체면 손상과 전문적 도움 추구 태도간 관계는 자기 노출에 대한 위험 기대와 유용성 기대 둘 모두에 의해 매개되었다. 체면 손상에 대한 염려가 높을수록 더 높은 자기 노출에 대한 위험 기대와 유용성 기대를 통해 전문적 도움 추구 태도에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 사회적 낙인과 전문적 도움 추구 태도간 관계 역시 노출에 대한 위험 기대와 유용성 기대 둘 모두에 의해 매개되었다. 사회적 낙인에 대한 인식이 높을수록 더 높은 자기 노출에 대한 위험 기대와 더 낮은 자기 노출에 대한 유용성 기대를 통해 전문적 도움 추구 태도에 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의 및 상담에서의 함의점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
- Alternative Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of self-disclosure expectations(i.e., risks and benefits) on the relationship between loss of face, public stigma, and help seeking attitudes among koreans. For this, a total of 282 Korean adults completed an online survey. SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs were used to conduct structural equation modeling analysis. The results revealed that the relationship between loss of face and help-seeking attitudes was mediated by self-disclosure expectations(i.e., risks and benefits). Greater fear of losing face was found to lead to negative help-seeking attitudes through high levels of perceived risks associated with self-disclosure in counseling, and to lead to positive help-seeking attitudes through high levels of perceived benefits. Furthermore, the relationship between public stigma and help-seeking attitudes was also mediated by both self-disclosure risks and benefits. Specifically, public stigma was related to negative help-seeking attitudes through high levels of perceived risks and low levels of perceived benefits. The implications for counseling and future researches and limitations of this study were discussed.
