ABSTRACT
This main goal of this paper is to empirically investigate the relationship between remittance inflow and economic growth in Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Central Asian pool). The research is based on time series data since independence of Central Asian countries from 1990 to 2013. The paper is going to test if remittances inflow has an impact on economic growth and to examine the feedback effect from GDP to remittances inflow. Empirical result shows that the remittance inflow positively affects to economic growth in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. GDP growth positively effect to remittances increase in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. It was not found any significant relationship in Central Asian pool.
