ABSTRACT Following transparency international corruption perception index, 2015, Cameroon is ranked the 7th corrupt country in Africa, a step to the first position it maintain in 1998 and 1999 respectively. Though there are other parameters causing this corrupt practices which intends slowdown the development progress of the state, we assume that bad governance has been a cankerworm to the developmental achievements of Cameroon. However the NGOs are penetrating a corrupt network which hampers the realization of public projects and effective implementation of development aid or foreign grant. There lots of views regarding good governance and proper implementation of development project however many scholars have agreed that corruption is a major cause of bad governance and is a major cause of mismanagement embezzlement etc. In a bid to sort out his malice and bring a behavioral change towards resources the NGOs and Civil Society have contributed enormously towards this backdrop. This piece of work attempts to measure the extent to which NGOs have instituted good governance in Cameroon.
