The Emission trade system of korea take come into effect on January in 2015. This paper focuses on the methods of allocation of emissions permits in the Korea context.
It has been assumed here that the ETS will be applied only to intra-korea cement industry and that cement industry will be the entities selected for implementation. Seven cement companies were selected to evaluate three main types of allocation: Grandfathering, Benchmarking and Combination.
This study focuses on analysis methods of allocation through cement industry of korea in 2015. There are three main results.
First, Each company’s share in the total allowance is determined by its production level and a reference emission level per product.
Secondly, Changes in emission allowance in accordance with the change in fuel consumption. Allocation allowance also changes because the benchmark factor level changed. In addition, allowance were calculated from emission intensity.
thirdly, Cost of Emission was calculated comparison on allowance about methods of allocation that prospected the greenhouse gas emissions of 2015.
