Abstract
Alternative Abstract
With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, the technology based on the diverse digital modulation schemes have been used for the frequency range of over 800㎒ Although mobile technology including the 2nd generation mobile communication cdmaone (IS-95) and the 3rd generation mobile communication WCDMA are commonly used, they have been used without any consideration of the influence of electromagnetic radiation in Korea. The only radiation immunity has been tested using only IEC 61000-4-3 with AM signal; however, it has not been tested by wideband digital modulation signal or cdmaone(IS-95) with PM signal. The purpose of this study was to review the standards of electromagnetic radiation immunity test, which is commonly used in Europe and Korea. In addition, the input signals of electromagnetic radiation immunity were analyzed and tested considering the electromagnetic environments in Korea. The results showed that the radiation irnmunity was influenced by digital modulation signal by PM signal more than by AM signal. This study implies that more precise and appropriate radiation immunity tests need more comprehensive test methods including bandwith, physical channel, transformation technology, and multiple access technology as well as the basic components such as frequency and range, considering telecommunication environments in Korea.
