Abstract | This paper describes an experimental method for preparing Fe2O3 coated mica pigments in which the substrate is coated with DPP red. The parameters that affect the pearlescence and hue of the compounds are discussed. This paper also studies the heat-resistance of the pigments. I used a liquid phase method to prepare DPP red and Fe2O3 coated mica solution, and the optimum technology parameters are shown below. The reaction temperature is 310-318K. Optimum stirring rate is 200-250 r/min. This is confirmed through spectral reflectance curve. The method of feeding DPP red is to dump Fe2O3 coated mica solution. Optimum coating PH is 10-10.5 Also thickness is calculated using of LSM. And luster of surface is compared with coating sample. Coating sample is higher than non-coating sample. And surface area and particle size and distributions are measured. | - |
