For the development of civilization, sufficient sources of electricity are vital. However, current sources of electricity have their resource exhaustion. There is a need for a new environmentally friendly and economically sufficient energy source. The solar power industry is the most critical element of global energy. This thesis examines the potential of solar power in the global and national scales. The scientific novelty of the thesis lies in justification of the effectiveness of solar power as a rational way to solve energy problems of the Kyrgyz Republic. The grid-connected photovoltaic system studied in this research is simulated by using the PVsyst software that helps to predict electricity output. The 100 MW grid-connected photovoltaic power plant proposed in the study can not only save around 1,000 USD daily but also avoid excessive investments in power plants. A detailed system configuration, output, and losses will be provided.-
