dc.description.abstract본 연구는 운전자를 대상으로 우리나라에서 2009년 도입된 안전운전 체험교육의 효과를 분석하고 그 개선방안을 제시하고자 수행되었다. 교통 안전기본계획을 기본으로 추진되고 있는 다양한 정책 중 본 연구는 운전 자들을 대상으로 한 체험교육에 주목하였다. 우리나라에서는 2009년 상 주에 교통안전공단 교통안전교육센터가 설립되어 제한된 사업용 운전자들 을 대상으로 체험교육이 실시되고 있다. 본 연구는 우선 2009~2012까지 기 시행된 사업용 운전자 안전운전 체험교육 후 교통사고 감소 효과를 분석하였다. ‘운수 종사자 정보 종합 관리시스템’에 축적된 자료를 활용하여 대상자별 교육 전후 6~48개월 까지 6개월 단위로 구분하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 교통사고 발생, 위반행 위, 교통사고로 인한 사망자 및 중상자 발생 등 교통안전과 관련된 이수 자들의 행태에 긍정적인 변화가 있는 것으로 추론할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 또한 체험교육센터 내·외부의 전문가들을 대상으로 현재 교 통안전 체험교육뿐만 아니라 교통안전 정책 전반에 대한 상황, 문제점, 개선방안에 대한 인식을 면접조사를 통해 파악하였다. 응답자들은 우리나 라의 교통안전 정책이 3E를 중심으로 개별적으로 진행되는 것보다는 통 합적으로 추진되어야 한다는 원칙을 제시하였다. 더불어 교육 측면에서 교육 효과를 극대화하기 위해 체험형 교육은 필수적인 바, 이 연구에서 어느 정도 검증된 효과와 수요 증가를 감안할 때 향후 교육대상을 일반 운전자들에게 확대하고, 중대 사고를 유발한 운전자에 대해서는 집중적으 로 교육을 의무화할 필요가 있을 것이다. 또한 교육 수요자들의 욕구를 파악하여 다양한 교육 대상들에게 다양한 내용의 교육이 맞춤형으로 이루 어질 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 할 것이다. 이와 같이 교통안전 체험 교육을 확대하는 것이 향후 선진국 수준의 교 통문화를 정착시키는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.-
