The main aim of this study is to develop a new body of scientific knowledge which will be of help to policy makers, politicians, environmentalist, peace keepers like NGOs and scholars in understanding the role of the environment in peace building and conflict resolution. The research also analyzes the missing link between the environmental diplomacy and peacekeeping. Lastly the aim of the research is to examine empirical evidence linking environmental issues to conflict resolution because the concept of peace as a pathway to conflict resolution is being thought of by many as a “fly in the air idea”. This research analyzes the various conflicts in Ndian division/Mundemba and also examines the extent to which the traditional ways of peace creation in Ndian division by both the government of Cameroon and international organizations, has been successful in maintaining peace in the division. Secondly, the research took a critical analysis of Korup National Park and its importance to the Ndian inhabitance. The various projects carried out by NGOs in and around the park were also studied with emphasis on the main activities in the Korup National Park. The research gave evidence on why Korup Peace Park will be successful in resolving conflict and creating sustainable peace in Ndian division. Lastly, chapter four investigates the present negotiations and recent reports on issues surrounding environmental management in Ndian division with regards to energy resource management, environmental diplomacy and diplomacy in Ndian. The research finds out that the traditional method of peace creation through the signing of peace treaties and international intervention has not been able to sustain peace in Ndian division. This research thereby suggest Korup Peace Park as a solution to conflict resolution, peace creation and a pathway to economic development and cooperation in Ndian division.-
