Abstract When it comes to China’s one child policy, the first association probably would be the family planning, which emphasis on demographic management. However, there are some other aspects of policy that worthwhile study, and the one that really thought-provoking and interest to zoom in at China is the effect on development. Basically speaking, this policy has led to two main problems: gender imbalance, which will be the cause to limit the stability of society losses for a given amount of asset losses; and aging population, which is the problem to society and welfare system. The policy is under the spotlight since in the 21st century, the economic situation changes more frequently and dramatically, so it is essential to keep dynamic resilience to cope with various kinds of economic challenges, such as GDP growth rate, employment stability, inflation and regional economic integration. China’s weight in the global economy means that it commands the world's attention. Government tried consistently to strengthen its well-targeted macro-control policies to keep the steady economic growth, guaranteeing enough jobs be created and price inflation be checked. Then the government started to open this policy gradually. So this research try to find out the true reasons behind this, and analysis on which aspects China will continue to work for strengthening the development.-
