This paper proposes an LCL-filter design method for space vector pulse width modulation (SVM) in grid-connected three-phase inverter systems. Although there are several studies in progress, the existing methods are erroneous in the SVM system because they focus on other switching methods. This paper presents the design methodology for an LCL-filter that is optimized for SVM switching operations. The procedures and techniques described in this paper. First, the inverter-side inductor is determined by an analysis of the ripple components, mathematically. Secondly, based on the reactive power absorption ratio, the filter capacitor is determined. Finally, the grid-side inductor is determined by the ripple attenuation factor of the output current. The simulation and experimental results verify the validity of the design method for the LCL-filter.-
