dc.description.abstract국문초록 중년여성지체장애인의 여가활동 참여에 따른 삶의 변화 이 은 경 본 연구는 중년여성지체장애인들이 여가활동 참여과정에서 얻게 되는 삶의 변화에 초점을 두었다. 과거와는 달리 후천적인 원인과 수명연장으로 인한 노 인성질환으로 장애인이 증가하고 있다. 특히, 중년여성장애인들의 경우 교육받 을 기회가 상대적으로 적고, 가정 내에서도 가족으로써의 주어진 역할 미비로 여성장애인들이 겪는 차별은 삶 전반적인 영역에 거쳐 다양하게 나타나고 있 다. 여가활동이 중년여성에게 갖는 중요성은 이미 많이 강조되고 있으나 아직 까지 여성장애인에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 중년여성지체장애인들만의 여가활동 참여경험을 다각적 으로 살펴봄으로써 살아온 경험과 차별 속에서 여가활동 참여가 주는 더 큰 의미가 무엇인지 살펴보고, 이를 통해 이후 여성장애인의 여가활동 확대를 위 한 실천적 제언을 하고자 한다. 연구 방법은 여성장애인 당사자들의 목소리를 듣고자 질적 연구방법을 활용 하였다. 연구 참여자는 7명으로 40세에서 59세까지 지체여성장애인들로 심층 면접을 통해 연구 자료를 얻었다. 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여가활동 참여과정의 경험은 어떠한가? 둘째, 여가활동의 의미와 참여 후 삶의 변화는 어떠한가? 셋째, 여가활동의 어려움과 욕구는 무엇인가? 연구결과 연구 참여자들은 여가활동을 통해 스스로 자신감을 갖게 되고 사 회인으로 통합되는 계기를 얻게 되고, 자신의 장애를 수용하는 계기가 되었음 을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 자신을 성찰하는 것에 그치지 않고 더욱 발전하고 싶어 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 다양하고 질 높은 프로그램이 부족하거 나, 프로그램 담당자 역할을 하는 사회복지사의 역할이 충분하지 않았으며, 비 장애인들의 인식에 대한 문제 등 현실적 어려움을 느꼈다는 점 또한 확인할 수 있었다. 연구 결과를 통해서 알 수 있었듯이 여가활동에 대한 결과들은 매우 긍정적 이었다. 사회나 가정 내에서 주어진 환경으로 다양한 경험과 또래와의 상호작 용 부족은 장애인들에게는 사회와의 단절 요인이었다. 여가활동이 주는 중요 성은 장애인들에게 부족했던 역할 경험을 통한 느낌들을 접하게 되는 기회를 제공하였다. 또한, 가정 내의 역할이 중요했던 장애인들에게 가족구조 변화는 큰 어려움 의 과제가 되었으며, 가족 내에서의 역할을 대신하고 있었다. 여가활동 참여로 사회적 상호작용, 여가집단 형성은 긍정적 사회적 관계 수반 및 개인의 행복 기여와 직접, 간접적으로 주어지는 혜택들은 참여자들에게 다양한 경험들로 내재적 동기 충족을 주었다. 본 연구는 중년여성지체장애인의 여가활동의 의미와 중요성을 드러냈다는데 연구의 의의가 있다. 하지만, 참여자의 장애유형과 연령 등에 있어서 제한된 한계점이 있어 이후 후속연구를 통해 다양한 여성장애인의 경험에 대한 연구 가 이어지기를 기대한다.-
